New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday allowed the Athletics Federation of India (AFI) to go ahead with electing its office bearers for the 2012-16 term.
Refusing to stay the election process, a division bench of Acting Chief Justice A.K. Sikri and Justice R.S. Endlaw gave a green signal to the AFI to conduct the elections and issued notice to it.
The court's directions came on a plea filed by advocate Rahul Mehra seeking a stay on the election process scheduled for April 14-15.
