Anju Bobby George may have been disappointed at the Athens Olympics but she's back preparing for the World Championships at Helsinki and the Asian Championship in Busan next year. India's star athlete and her husband and coach Bobby George are in search of a good practice track and fitness centre these days but they still can't get the right training facilities in India. Poor facilities "We asked for some good training centres like gymnasiums, tracks but we haven't found any yet. That's why we are going out," said Booby George. "It makes it difficult for us, going to some other new place and trying to make a base over there. But we have no other options. We have a plan to go to Brunei. The Athletic Federation of Brunei has given an invitation for us and we have a plan go to Australia also for a couple of competitions there in Brisbane or Melbourne. And then we have to make a training base in Europe and we are planning to settle in London for this year," said Anju Bobby George, Bronze Medallist, World Championship. Looking ahead Anju brushed aside the disappointment of losing out on the medal at the Athens Olympics, focussing instead on the future. And her coach and husband also echoed similar feelings. "The past is always the past. It is just a packet of ashes, but we have to keep moving," Bobby George said. The pain of Athens is not forgotten, but merely set aside. Anju Bobby George now has her eyes firmly set on the world championship at Helsinki.Topics mentioned in this article
