Bangalore:Anju Bobby George's case seems similar to that of Chilli Rathore – that of a hot performance turning cold in the last few months. She took part in an event in Bangalore today and though she won, the performance left her far from satisfied. India's long jump queen fell far short of her own record of 6:83 meters today at the National Athletics Meet by jumping only 6:09 meters. Although she still emerged in first place, she herself described it as a non-performance. "No actually you can't say this as a performance because it's only six meters. My knee was troubling me, so I just finished the competition, that's all," said Anju Bobby George, World Number 6. Looking ahead Anju was taking part in a national event after a span of almost 14 months and the World Number Six is still searching for her 7-meter goal. "We are going for the London Grand Prix, European Grand prix. It starts from 18th and there is one more competition in Sweden and then World Championships. We are trying for some small competitions during that time," said Anju. A knee injury prevented Anju Bobby George from bettering her own record at this national athletics meet. But then this is just like a dress rehearsal. The big even is yet to come and that's at Helsinki, the World Championships for which Anju is headed.
