Indian Badminton League: Lee Chong Wei to skip second leg too; will play in Mumbai

Mumbai Masters made a winning start to their Indian Badminton League campaign coming back from 1-2 down to win 3-2 against Banga Beats on Thursday.

World No.1 and Mumbai Masters' icon player Lee Chong Wei has again delayed his travel plans and will miss the second leg (Lucknow) of the Indian Badminton League (IBL) tie against the Pune Pistons here on Saturday. He is expected to land in Mumbai today.

The Malaysian, who skipped the opening ceremony of the IBL, was expected to arrive in time on Friday for his team's second outing. The wait it seems will grow further. Lee is expected to play in the home leg (Mumbai) against Delhi Smashers on August 20.

The World No.1 from Malaysia, who had retired from the 2013 World Championships men's singles final with cramps against Chinese legend Lin Dan has a heavily strapped ankle and is reportedly not in prime physical condition.
