New Delhi: India's leading shuttler Saina Nehwal climbed a place to be ranked No.5 in women's singles in the latest Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings released Thursday.
Back-to-back quarter-final appearances at Denmark and French Open this month, where she lost to Chinese Shixian Wang both times, has helped her re-enter the top-5 in the world. Meanwhile, compatriot P.V. Sindhu retained her No.10 position.
A return to form has seen men's singles shuttler Parupalli Kashyap climb back into the top-20 at No.17. A semi-final show in Denmark followed by a last eight appearance in France elevated Kashyap four places.
