Bangalore: Ambati Rayudu will join the Indian squad for the remainder of the Celkon Mobile tri-series in the West Indies after Mahendra Singh Dhoni was ruled out because of a hamstring injury.
Dhoni suffered the injury while batting in the game against West Indies in Kingston, Jamaica on Sunday (June 30). He received treatment when batting on 20 in the 43rd over and though he went on to score a 35-ball 27, Dhoni didn't come out when India fielded.
In Dhoni's absence, Dinesh Karthik kept wickets and Virat Kohli led the team, which he will now continue to do for the rest of the tournament. (Also read: Kohli says he missed 'calm' Dhoni in tense match vs West Indies)
