CLT20 to be Sachin Tendulkar's last Twenty20 dash, no Ricky Ponting in Mumbai Indians squad

Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar will play the last T20 tournament of his career. However, Mumbai Indians' regular skipper in this year's IPL Ricky Ponting will not feature.

Where the 2011 CLT20 winners Mumbai Indians will be buoyed by Sachin's featuring in the this year's event, their regular skipper in the 2013 IPL - Ricky Ponting - will miss the tournament. Ponting was in poor form in the Caribbean Premier League, scoring just 41 runs from 7 matches.

Meanwhile, a majority of players declared their allegiance to IPL franchises over their respective countries' domestic sides, with Sri Lankan veteran Kumar Sangakkara, pacer Nuwan Kulasekara, Australian spinner Brad Hogg and South African Quinton de Kock being the notable exceptions.
