Ranchi: Trinidad & Tobago might have notched up a convincing 25-run win over Brisbane Heat, but captain Denesh Ramdin is not satisfied with the performance os his batsmen and said the Caribbean side fell short by 15 runs on Sunday.
"Yes, we were short by 15 runs. We needed 145 runs. We got a good start but we lost wickets and kept losing wickets. I stuck it out there and Samuel Badree batted really well in the last over," Ramdin said at the post-match press conference here.
Asked about how much motivation the players derived from Brian Lara's presence during the match, Ramdin said he advised the Caribbean cricketers to stay there on the wicket.
