New Zealand Twenty20 champions Otago Volts registered a 62-run win over Perth Scorchers in Group A match at Jaipur. Neil Broom (117*) and Ryan ten Doeschate (66) took Otago to 242/4, the highest score in tournament history as Perth were restricted to 180/6 in reply.

Otago Volts captain Brendon McCullum after win: It was an unbelievable innings by Neil Broom. I think it is one of the most amazing batting performances from our association's history and to it do it on the world stage is phenomenal. We galloped away at the start, and then finally got set to tee off. I thought Broom and Derek's partnership was crucial. We are really going well, as it is 14 wins in a row now for us. We have a special culture in our team as well so its nice to show that on the international stage. We have some tough opponents coming up so we'll back ourselves.
