The Mumbai Indians clash against Highveld Lions in Group A of the Champions League Twenty20 2013 that was scheduled to be played in Ahmedabad on Friday (September 27) has been moved to Jaipur, due to the constant rains lashing Ahmedabad.
On Monday (September 23), the Perth Scorchers vs Lions match and the Otago Volts vs Mumbai match scheduled at the Motera stadium in Ahmedabad were both abandoned without a ball being bowled. Representatives of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) said they had received confirmation of the match being shifted from CP Joshi, the RCA president, and KK Sharma, the RCA secretary, who are both in Chennai to attend the BCCI SGM.
"One of the matches that was scheduled in Ahmedabad, between Mumbai Indians and Highveld Lions, has been shifted to Jaipur," said Mahendra Sharma, the RCA treasurer in Jaipur on Wednesday. "The BCCI requested RCA to hold the match here because it will not be possible to hold it in Ahmedabad due to the rains there. It will be played at 8pm at night here. The tickets for this match will be available online from the morning on 26th, and offline they will be available from the afternoon at around 2 pm."
