New Delhi:

He credits the first season of the Indian Premier League for the resurrection of his international career. After making his presence felt in the Test team post-Anil Kumble's retirement, leg-spinner Amit Mishra is back in action in the second season.

In an exclusive interview with, Mishra stumps everyone with his candid answers.

Define yourself in one word?

A thinker.

What's your USP as a cricketer?

I am an honest and hard working guy who listens to his heart more than his mind.

Who's your idol?

My idols are Shane Warne and Anil Kumble. Kumble's conduct on and off the field was exemplary. Apart form them I also admire Sachin Tendulkar for being so humble and down to earth. He is a true idol for all the youngsters. (Can't agree more!)

What's your take on IPL?

Twenty20 is really a tough format for the bowlers and IPL being a T20 tournament was no different. But it gives a platform to the young cricketers to showcase their potential. I owe my comeback to IPL where I took a hat-trick against Deccan Chargers last year. It also provides financial help. On such a big stage, it becomes difficult to ignore good talents.

And the IPL babes?

I think cheerleaders' presence adds to the fun quotient. They tone down the stress level of the spectators. For the cricketers, it didn't matter much as they are focused on their game. But yeah for certain players, they were stressbusters.

What's your dream Bollywood role?

SRK in Chak De or Hrithik Roshan in Lakshya. (Very ambitious!)

Which Bollywood girl is your dream date?

I liked Kajol but then she's married. From the current crop of bollywood girls I don't find anyone hot. (Are you serious?)

Your warning to the opposition?

I would let my bowling do the talking. I don't think you can scare the opposition by staring or foul mouthing. (Wise!)

If not India, which team would you have liked to play for?

I would have liked to play for England.

What's your most embarrassing moment?

Once I had taken my friends out for dinner. When I opened my wallet to pay the bill, it was empty. That was really very embarrassing. (Oh! It happens with most of us!)

One thing you would like to change about yourself.

I would like to tone down my temper. I would like to channelise my aggression in a positive direction and add variety to my bowling.

If you made BCCI president for a day, what one thing would you like to change?

I would like to make domestic cricket financially stronger. When I say domestic cricket I mean at all levels. (Safe and sound answer!)

If you become invisible for a day, what would you do?

I will not do anything naughty for sure. I am a good guy you see. I would like to know what all my family members want and then try to fulfill their wishes. (Sweetly boring!)

Three flavours of ice-cream and you would like to dedicate to three persons?

I would like to dedicate Strawberry flavour to Mr. Amitabh Bachchan as everybody likes it. Chocolate for my best friend Gautam Gambhir and butterscotch to Sachin Tendulkar. (Cool!)

If deserted on an island, which three things would like to have beside you?

If caught in such a situation then I should have home-made rajma-chawal, my I-pod and cell-phone.

Your most memorable moment?

Picking five wickets in my first Test and that too against Australia. Hat-trick in IPL is another one.
