Mumbai: Sri Lanka and Pakistan play each other so often these days the two teams know each other inside out. There are few weaknesses that go unexploited and each team plans for the strength of the opposition immaculately.
What's evident also is that the similarity in conditions in the two countries means that neither team is able to make full use of home advantage. As the table below shows, Pakistan have tasted disproportionate success in Sri Lanka, and Sri Lanka haven't done too badly when touring Pakistan.
First match: at Karachi, 5-10 March 1982 (Pak won by 204 runs)
Last match: at Sharjah, 3-7 Nov 2011 (Match drawn)
