Vadodara:
The enraged protesters burnt Srikkanth's effigy on the campus of M S University for dropping Irfan from the list of 30 probables for the South African tour to be held in September.
Kunal Patel, a student leader of the M S University alleged Srikkanth and his selection team have done great injustice to Irfan by not selecting him despite his fine performance in IPL 2, 20Twenty championship, World Cup and other matches including Ranji trophy. Patel alleged that Srikkanth was biased against players of Gujarat.
Even Parthiv Patel has not been included in this list of probables, he said.
"We have no objection over the selection of players from southern India, but also want selection of deserving players like Irfan in the team," Patel added.
"If our demand of Irfan's inclusion in the team is not conceded, then we will not allow entry of Srikkanth in the city," he said.
