New Delhi:Kings XI Punjab coach Tom Moody lashed out at Australian coach John Buchanan for quoting him in his controversial book, saying he never made any comments on Yuvraj Singh's behaviour.
"I was surprised to hear that I have been quoted in John Buchanan's most recent book. I have neither read the book nor been intimated by John about it's release with my supposed quotes. I was rather taken aback to read of my reference to Kings XI Punjab captain Yuvraj Singh and I certainly cannot recall any such conversation," Moody said in a statement.
In his latest book 'The Future of Cricket: The rise of Twenty20', Buchanan took a pot shot at a number of star Indian cricketers including Yuvraj, who leads Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League.
Buchanan said Yuvraj behaved like a modern-day Sourav Ganguly even though he lacked the charisma and dignity of the former India captain.
Buchanan quoted Moody as saying that Yuvraj would "just walk off after training, leaving all his gear and rubbish because he was used to someone else picking up after him".
Moody, however, rubbished Buchanan's claim and altogether denied any such incident.
"I am not in the habit of airing team laundry on such trivial matters," Moody said.
