New Delhi:Australia beat Chris Gayle-led West Indies by 35 runs on the final day of the third Test to win the series 2-0 on Sunday.
Australian pacers had successfully removed nine Windies batsmen on Day and victory looked well within the reach. All they needed was the final Windies wicket to win the three-match Test series in Perth, but the last Caribbean pair of Kemar Roach and Gavin Tonge deprived them of that luxury.

They piled up 44 runs and made Aussie bowlers toil hard. Finally Doug Bollinger dismissed Kemar. But even that didn't come smoothly. Ponting, a firm critic of Decision Review System, got the series-winning wicket via DRS.
While Australia won the series, it was Chris Gayle who walked away with Man of the Match and Man of the Series awards.
