Kolkata:Ignored by the national selectors for next month's Twenty20 World Cup, leg-spinner Amit Mishra says he is happy being the leading wicket-taker for Delhi Daredevils in Indian Premier League 3.
Talking to reporters on the sidelines of a promotional event here on Wednesday, Mishra, who has 14 wickets before Wednesday's match against Kolkata Knight Riders, said, "My job is to perform wherever I play. Selection is not in my hands.
"I am happy that I am the highest wicket-taker in the IPL currently. I would like to carry on this kind of performance," said the leg-spinner.
He said he is being inspired by leg-spinning legends Shane Warne and Anil Kumble.
"The key to success in all formats is adaptability. I am trying to learn the subtle nuances of the leg-break from legends like Shane Warne and Anil Kumble," he said.
