New Delhi:
In a typical BCCI style, tour manager Ranjib Biswal denied the reports of such a letter to NDTV. However, according to the reports, the team management has questioned the validity of playing inconsequential matches.
The players have apparently asked the Board to rethink the team's schedule over the next few months. One suggestion is to prune the three Test series against New Zealand later this year to a two Test series so that the South Africa tour which follows can be advanced by a week.
It had been reported that the players were originally due to have flown back home from Dambulla after the first game of the tri-series for three days before their second match, against Sri Lanka on Friday, and that in light of their 200-run rout, the Indians had been ordered by the Board to stay back in Dambulla.
But neither Srinivasan nor Chief Administrative Officer Prof Ratnakar Shetty were available to confirm or deny these reports despite repeated attempts.

In a typical BCCI style, tour manager Ranjib Biswal denied the reports of such a letter to NDTV.
