London: Former India skipper Sourav Ganguly was silently thrilled at The Oval on Friday on learning about former nemesis Greg Chappell being sacked from Australia's selection panel.
Even as most of the media here were chasing Ganguly for a reaction, India's most successful captain took the news in his stride, and felt that justice had been done for everything that transpired between the two during their reign at the helm of Indian cricket almost half a decade ago.
Ganguly hailed Cricket Australia's decision to sack Chappell. "Now, people will know who was right and who was wrong (during their spat as captain and coach of the Indian team). He's such a big cricketer... a big name... it's very unfortunate," he told MiD DAY.
