New Delhi: Batsman Rahul Dravid expressed his condolences on the death of Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi saying that it came as a shock to him even though reports of his ailments had reached him. (Also see: Pataudi remembered on Twitter)
Dravid had recently met Pataudi at the presentation ceremony of the India-England series. "Wish I had spent more time with him. Even though I had heard of him being not well, this comes as a shock", said Dravid. (Also see: The Tiger in pics)
Pataudi had captained India in 40 Test matches and is widely credited for transforming India's identity as a cricketing nation.
