Mumbai: In what would come more as a relief than a pleasant surprise to cricket fans in India, Sachin Tendulkar returned to training on Friday. A national daily reported that the star trained at the Bandra Kurla Complex and the Mumbai Recreation Center here.
Tendulkar had suffered a toe-injury on the England tour and has been out of action since. He also reportedly consulted a specialist in London for special shoes to give his feet added protection. (Suggested read: Sachin and his specially designed shoes)
After even missing the recently concluded Champions League T20, a return to training augers well for the national team which registered it's first win since the tour of West Indies, against England in the first ODI, at Hyderabad.
