Sydney: Speedster Fidel Edwards hopes to touch the 160 kmph-mark in the next one year and get closer to the fastest delivery ever unleashed by Pakistani Shoaib Akhtar and Australian Shaun Tait.
The 29-year-old Edwards, who is playing for Sydney Thunder in the Big Bash, said the Australian fans would be treated to some good fast bowling in the tournament.
"One of my aims is to be the fastest and regarded as the best fast bowler in the world. Hopefully, I'm not too far off that (goal) and it could be by the end of next year. That's my goal," Edwards was quoted as saying in the Australian media.
