Mumbai: India's legendary batsman Rahul Dravid was felicitated by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Tuesday. Former teammates, members of the present Indian team, Bollywood celebrities and other members of the cricketing fraternity joined to honour 'The Wall.'
MS Dhoni was one of the first to speak of Dravid and his guiding influence. "As cricketers, we spend a lot of time out. Jammy started early. I think his parents and bhabhi will enjoy his company more now. As for the Indian team, his legacy will continue for us. I wish Jam all the best. I hope he continues to interact with young cricketers coming into NCA," he said.
While BCCI chief N Srinivasan was not present at the event, he lauded Dravid in a video message. "From the day he began playing till he retired, Rahul has been an extremely humble person. I wish him the best," he said.
