Mumbai: The long standing animosity between former India captain Kapil Dev and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) seems to have come to an end as the two parties met today in Mumbai to bury the hatchet.
BCCI President N Srinivasan also received a letter from Kapil Dev who informed that he had resigned from the Essel Sports Private Limited, the company that owned the rebel league - Indian Cricket League. Consequently he has been granted amnesty.
"Mr. Kapil Dev has informed the Board that he has resigned from the Essel Sports Private Limited / ICL. He has also stated in the letter that he has always supported the BCCI, and will continue to do so in the future," Srinivasan said in his press statement.
