New Delhi: Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh has been retained in Grade A of the players' contract list issued by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), along with Virat Kohli, while off-spinner R Ashwin has joined the top grade that also features the likes of Sachin Tendulkar, MS Dhoni, Virender Sehwagm Gautam Gambhir and Suresh Raina.
Yuvraj, who was a Grade A player in 2011-12, was out of action for a year as he was battling a rare germ-cell cancer. He made his comeback last month. Despite his absence from international cricket, the southpaw has retained his Grade A contract.
The players in Grade A are paid Rs 1 crore each annually, while players in Grade B and C are earn Rs 50 lakh and Rs 25 lakh respectively.
