Hobart, Australia: Recalled batsman Phil Hughes says he's confident after returning to the Australian cricket team for the series against Sri Lanka and his third stab at a settled test career.

Hughes, who is set to play in the first Test at Hobart from Friday as a replacement for Ricky Ponting, has been prolific in Australia's domestic competitions this season.

He scored 74 from 48 balls in a Twenty20 match on Sunday and is averaging 51.8 in four-day matches and 80.75 in one-dayers.
