President felicitates World Cup winning blind cricket team

The Indian team that won the Cricket World Cup for the blind was felicitated by President Pranab Mukherjee.

New Delhi: President Pranab Mukherjee felicitated the Indian Blind Cricket team for winning the inaugural Blind Cricket Twenty20 World Cup earlier this month, at the Rashtrapati Bhavan here.

Sports Minister Jitendra Singh and BCCI vice president Arun Jaitley were also present on the occasion.

The sports minister will consider the request of awarding Rs 30 lakh each to the players and Rs 10 crores to promote blind cricket in India through Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI).
