South Africa captain AB de Villiers has been suspended for two ODIs while all other team members have been fined 100-per-cent of their match fees for maintaining a slow over-rate during their one-wicket defeat against New Zealand in the first ODI in Paarl on Saturday.

David Miller will replace the outgoing skipper in the South African squad for the final two ODIs while T20 captain Faf du Plessis will now lead the one-day side too.

Match referee David Boon imposed the suspension after the home side were ruled to be six overs short of their target at the end of the match when time allowances were taken into consideration.
