Former Indian seamer Venkatesh Prasad feels the teams representing East Zone in the upcoming Toyota University Cricket Championship could be surprise packages.
Prasad held a coaching clinic in Kolkata for the boys from Avadesh Pratap Singh University from Rewa (Eastern Tigers) and Veer Bahadur Singh University, Jaunpur (Eastern Eagles). After the clinic, Prasad feels the boys had talent, enthusiasm and were eager to give their best.
The former Indian speedster and national bowling coach rated Tigers and Eagles' fielding 6 out of 10. Prasad said while the training had less intensity than that of a T20 match, the boys would have to be more focussed on their game. Relatively unknown, Prasad believes their low profile could be an advantage against the big guns like Delhi and Mumbai.
