Mumbai: On paper, this looks like another David versus Goliath battle. Jaypee Cement Eastern Tigers Avadesh Pratap Singh University, Rewa, the whipping boys of the Toyota University Cricket Championship, take on Mumbai University at the Brabourne Stadium on Wednesday in what will be a must-win game for the home side. Mumbai must win to grab the second semifinal berth on offer from group B.

Mumbai, however, will be boosted by their last-ball win over Madras University on Monday night. Level on points with Madras, but with an inferior run-rate, Mumbai will look for a big win against Rewa, who are yet to taste victory in the championship.

Mumbai shall hope for opener Kevin D'Almeida to fire as he did the other day against Madras. It was D'Almedia's unbeaten 51-ball 65 that fetched the Rohinton Baria runners-up a last-gasp win. Mumbai are also likely to be boosted by the return of their first-choice skipper Siddhesh Lad, who missed the Madras game due to his commitments for Mumbai in a BCCI tournament. With their quick bowlers Prateek Dabholkar, Saurabh Netravalkar and Shardul Thakur also in good form, Mumbai will be confident of taming the Eastern Tigers with ease.
