GG Dutt Memorial cricket: Madras Cricket Club beat Ram Pal Cricket Academy, enter quarter-final

With the help of fine centuries by skipper Punit Bisht (152, off 104 balls - 15x4, 6x6) and Varun Sood (121* off 84 balls - 5x4 9x6), Madras Cricket Club entered the quarter-final of the 40th All India Goswami Ganesh Dutt Memorial Cricket Tournament 2013 with a 102-run win over Ram Pal Cricket Academy here at the St. Stephen's College Ground, Mori Gate, Delhi.

The Madras pair put on 162 for the 4th wicket as their team scored a huge total of 345/5 in 40 overs. Left arm spinner Vishal Chaudhary took 2 wickets in 10 overs and Wasim also took 2 wickets for 46 runs.

In reply, Ram Pal Cricket Academy fought valiantly, scoring 243 all-out in 34 overs. Sachin Chichi batted well and scored 115 runs with the help of 13 boundaries and 5 sixes in 65 balls.
