IPL scam: Rajasthan Royals owner Raj Kundra told not to leave India

Mr Kundra was reportedly asked about how bookies had access to his players. Police sources said that crucial information is being shared with the police by Royals cricketer Siddharth Trivedi, who is an approver in the case, and was present during today's interrogation of Mr Kundra.

New Delhi: Raj Kundra, a co-owner of the Rajasthan Royals, has been stopped from leaving the country after he was interrogated for several hours in the capital on Wednesday in connection with the betting and spot-fixing scandal that has ripped through Indian cricket. Mr Kundra has given his passport to the Delhi Police.

After his lengthy questioning, Mr Kundra tweeted at night that the Delhi Police "r the real hero's cleaning up cricket in India!"

The Royals, which have four owners including Mr Kundra's wife Bollywood actor Shilpa Shetty, are the epicentre of the multiple police investigations of the recently-concluded Indian Premier League (IPL), the massively popular domestic Twenty20 league.
