Canberra:
The medical bulletin in the Indian dressing room today had more good news in store for the team management with leg-spinner Anil Kumble being ruled fit for the remaining matches of the tri-series. Kumble missed India's last two matches of the tri-series due to a niggle in the shoulder but physio Andrew Leipus was upbeat about the match-winning bowler's recovery in time for the next match scheduled for February one in Perth. "Anil only had a sore shoulder. With rest and treatment, he should be fit for the remaining matches," said the physio. Sehwag injury Leipus also had encouraging news on Sachin Tendulkar and Virender Sehwag. However, he felt Sehwag might continue to feel some pain in his shoulder for some time. "There is no threat of surgery as such to (Sehwag) but he might have to endure some pain in his shoulder," said Leipus. "His shoulder is settling down and it would take some time." Tendulkar resumed batting in the nets and seems to be coming along nicely but he has ruled himself out of the exhibition match against Prime Minister's XI on Wednesday. The Indians could be excused for not warming up to a festival game like the one coming up in the middle of a series which neither affords them rest or a proper competition. India were similarly not too pleased about the three-day game against Australia 'A' in Hobart in the middle of the Test series and reckon it did not do the fitness of Ashish Nehra any good.
