Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf launches Imran Khan Talent Hunt Programme

Imran Khan played 88 Tests and 175 ODIS for Pakistan from 1971 to 1992. Under his captaincy Pakistan lifted the 1992 World Cup in Australia.

Former Pakistan cricket captain Imran Khan's party, the The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) announced on 30th July that it will launch the 'Imran Khan Talent Hunt Programme' in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) towards the end of August.

Speaking to reporters at the Peshawar Press Club, PTI Sports and Culture President Iftikhar Elahi that budding talents in the game would be selected at the provincial level. Imran Khan would then come to Peshwar to personally train the players.

"PTI Chairman Imran Khan wants to bring the cricket team of K-P at par with the national team," said Elahi, who added that the region had a lot of players with potential but required good facilities to train.
