Bangalore: Former New Zealand all-rounder Chris Cairns has said the Umpire Decision Review System should be restricted to just one usage per innings to prevent it from becoming a "crutch".
"The DRS is something that helps the game but I think it needs to be used not as a crutch in the game. I would actually have one review per innings because it is there to stop a very bad decision," he added.
The DRS has been controversial since its inception and has drawn mixed reactions in international cricket. India has been among the staunch opposers of the system.
