Sri Lanka willing to be first team to tour Pakistan after 2009 terror attacks

Sri Lanka stopped sending their cricket team to Pakistan after the 2009 terror attack on their squad in Lahore that injured six of their players and left six Pakistani policemen and two civilians dead.

Colombo: Sri Lanka have decided to resume playing cricket in Pakistan after a gap of four years.

President Mahinda Rajapaksa stated this here on Tuesday to Pakistani minister Ahsan Iqbal, the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP) reported.

Rajapaksa said a Sri Lankan team will soon play in Pakistan.
