New Delhi: Board of Control for Cricket in India president N. Srinivasan hailed Sachin Tendulkar as one of the best cricketers ever and said while he respects the Little Master's decision to retire, it will be hard to find a replacement.
Tendulkar on Thursday announced that his 200th Test will be his final, bringing an end to a career spanning over two decades.
Srinivasan congratulated the legendary batsman and said that no one served Indian cricket in the way that Tendulkar had. "I have been an ardent follower and admirer of Sachin Tendulkar from the days he came to play Buchi Babu in Chennai. He is without doubt the greatest cricketer India has produced. In fact one should really say he ranks among the top of all time great sports persons in the world."
