Abdul Qadir to contest Pakistan Cricket Board elections for chairman's post

Former chief selector Abdul Qadir says that holding of elections in the PCB will only be a step forward for Pakistan cricket.

Karachi: Former leg-spinner Abdul Qadir will contest the Pakistan Cricket Board elections for the post of chairman insisting he had the ability to improve the administration of the sport in the country.

"I will be contesting the forthcoming PCB elections because I know I have the ability and cricketing experience to make a difference to Pakistan cricket," Qadir told PTI.

Qadir said he took the decision after consulting his family and friends in the cricket circle.
