Ranji Trophy: Prasanna scores ton as TN post 258/7 vs Uttar Pradesh

Meerut: Ramaswamy Prasanna scored an unbeaten century as Tamil Nadu overcame early jitters to reach 258 for seven at the end of the opening day's play in their Group B Ranji Trophy match against Uttar Pradesh here on Thursday.

Prasanna, who hit 11 fours and a six during his unbeaten 104-run knock off 207 balls, stitched 107 runs for the fifth wicket with Baba Aparajith (60) after Tamil Nadu were reduced to 20 for four in the first hour of the match at the Bhamashah Stadium.

Prasanna later joined hands with A Aswin Crist to put on another crucial unbeaten 79-run stand for the eighth wicket.
