Karachi: Former Pakistan pacer Shoaib Akhtar has lambasted Waqar Younis saying that the former skipper should not get the head coach's job after the departure of Australian Dav Whatmore. Waqar, known for bowling toe-crushing yorkers and his mastery at reverse swing, was inducted in ICC Hall of Fame on December 11.

"Waqar was neither a good captain nor a good coach," the outspoken Akhtar said on Geo Super channel.

Akhtar publicly voiced his grievance against the Pakistan team management after being dropped for the 2011 World Cup semifinal against India at Mohali.
