Sachin Tendulkar most deserving recipient of Bharat Ratna, says Rajeev Shukla

At 40 years of age, Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar became the youngest to receive the highest civilian award, the Bharat Ratna, on Tuesday.

President Pranab Mukherjee presented the country's highest civilian honour, Bharat Ratna to Tendulkar and eminent scientist Prof C N R Rao during a brief function at Rashtrapati Bhavan's Durbar Hall attended by vice president Hamid Ansari, Union ministers, Tendulkar's wife Anjali, daughter Sara and a host of other dignitaries.
