Wellington: New Zealand named an unchanged starting XI Tuesday for the second Test against India but called in new injury cover to replace disgraced duo Jesse Ryder and Doug Bracewell.

The selectors turned to Otago all-rounder Jimmy Neesham and Canterbury batsman Tom Latham after dropping Ryder and Bracewell over their booze-fuelled antics before the first Test in Auckland.

Neesham is on standby in case of a late injury to the Black Caps' bowling attack, while Latham will replace Ross Taylor if the veteran's second child, expected at any time, has not arrived by the start of the Test.
