Sri Lankan opener Lahiru Thirimanne scored his second One-Day International (ODI) century in the opening match of the Asia Cup 2014 against Pakistan at Fatullah on Tuesday.

After a slow start alongside opening partner Kusal Perera, Thirimanne slowly but steadily shifted gears. Following Perera's wicket in the 8th over, Thirimanne was joined by senior pro Kumar Sangakkara. The duo rebuilt the Sri Lankan innings and put on a solid 161-run stand for the second wicket.
