Ben Duckett proved to be Australia's tormentor as he hit his maiden Youth ODI century to cinch a one-wicket win for England to claim third position in the Under-19 World Cup.
Chasing a target of 247, England lost three wickets in five balls between the ninth and tenth overs. But Duckett's presence gave England stability as he dominated crucial partnerships with Will Rhodes and Rob Jones for the fifth and seventh wicket respectively.
He hit nine fours in his 109-ball knock and was the seventh man to fall in the 45th over. Australia saw their chance and grabbed two more wickets in as many overs. England were 213 for 9, still 34 away, but a gutsy last-wicket stand between Josh Shaw and Matthew Fisher saw England through in the final over.
