Sylhet: Elton Chigumbura struck a fluent half-century as Zimbabwe notched up a five-wicket win over the United Arab Emirates in a qualifying match to keep themselves in the hunt for a place in the ICC World Twenty20 here on Friday.
Set a modest target of 116 after opting to bowl, Zimbabwe lost early wickets before pulling through in the 13.4 overs courtesy a fine effort by Chigumbura, who remained unbeaten on 53. Chigumbura struck half a dozen fours and three sixes in his fiery knock, which came off just 21 deliveries.
