Kolkata: Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly today said India is going to emerge as a strong bowling side and that the find of Pakistan series was Parthiv Patel as a batsman. Ganguly, who returned to rousing welcome after a historic triumph in Pakistan, told newsmen at the airport here that both Irfan Pathan and L Balaji bowled very well in the series. "Once Zaheer Khan and Harbhajan Singh are fit, we will have a very strong bowling side," Ganguly said. The Indian captain, however, had a special word of praise for the young Patel on his outstanding batting performance. "The find of the series was Parthiv as a batsman," he said. Expressing happiness on the series victory in Pakistan, the skipper said "it is good to be back after winning, specially in Pakistan. "Every tour is important and Pakistan was also an important assignment", Ganguly said, adding that "India-Pakistan match is always a big pressure game and it is good to be on the winning side. "We have done outstandingly well," an elated Indian skipper said. Ganguly said that the team was looking forward to the three-month break before the next series -- a triangular one-day series in Europe in August. "We are looking forward to this break after a long series," he said. When asked whether he would take any assignment in county cricket in England, he replied in negative. (PTI)
