A little over five months after bringing his cricket career to an end, Sachin Tendulkar - who is 41 today (April 24) -- continues to command respect and set pulses racing each time he steps out. The difference? He has gone from being a legendary batsman on the cricket pitch to an astounding 'all-rounder' in the game called life.
Always known for his modesty despite sky-touching fame and recognition, Tendulkar has spent his post-retirement days enjoying life to the brim. And yet, fulfilling his social responsibilities and staying in touch with his first love - cricket, has been high in his list of priorities. On Thursday, Tendulkar did not forget to cast his vote in Mumbai. "I think in a democratic nation of ours, every eligible voter should vote. That's why I am here. I don't want to comment on who will form the government," Tendulkar said. (Also read: Don't underestimate the power of your vote, says Tendulkar)
I have voted, have you? A wonderful start to my birthday, as a responsible citizen of our great nation. pic.twitter.com/RXAtisMwqq
