Rawalpindi:
Indian vice-captain Rahul Dravid today joined a select group of batsmen to have scored a century against all but one Test playing nation after his unbeaten knock of 134. Dravid spoke of a "special feeling" after putting India on the road to a series win with a marathon unbeaten hundred on the second day of the third cricket Test against Pakistan here today. 'The last chance' "It's a special feeling. It's really nice to do it in Pakistan. This was probably my last chance on this tour and I am happy that I scored the century," said Dravid. Dravid, whose century today was the first against Pakistan, has not scored a century against Test minnows Bangladesh against whom he has played just one Test. The stylish right-hander also praised the bowling attack especially the effort of pace spearhead Shoaib Akhtar who returned 3 for 47. "The bowlers were bowling really well. They bowled some quick stuff as well. Shoaib's was a challenging spell. He was bowling fast and on a very good line." Praises galore 'The Wall' also heaped praises on team-mates Parthiv Patel, V V S Laxman and captain Sourav Ganguly a€" all of whom scored superb half-centuries and were associated with 100-plus partnership with Dravid. "Parthiv played beautifully. It was great to see a 19-year old batting so well. He has a great future. Laxman played a gem of an innings. He and Sourav scored the runs briskly and set the pace of the game." Dravid, who had failed to get going in the Test series so far, said the wicket was not easy to bat on. "It was not an easy wicket to bat on as it had some uneven bounce, but I just decided to hang in there without worrying about anything else," he said. Dravid's ton put India in the driver's seat as the visitors ended day two with 342 for four to take a 118-run lead over Pakistan's first innings score of 224. His 134 came off 314 balls in nearly seven hours of batting with the help of 19 fours. (PTI)Topics mentioned in this article
