Openers Marcus Stoinis and Phil Hughes led the way with the bat, each notching up 58 runs. India A's Manoj Tiwary picked up his first five-wicket haul in List A cricket, finishing with figures of 5-34.
The wickets were shared evenly among the Australia A bowlers with Clint McKay (1-19) and Gurinder Sandhu (1-37) the most economical. While for India A, Ambati Rayudu (77) and Kedar Jadhav (52) each reached half centuries.
