Mumbai:
Indian cricket team today received a shot in the arm after star batsman Sachin Tendulkar was declared fit to play the third Test against Australia at Nagpur. "I am very happy to play in the Nagpur Test," the master batsman said after passing the fitness test conducted by the team physio Andrew Leipus. India, which is trailing 0-1 in the four match series, will take on Australia in the third Test from October 26. Tendulkar, who has been out of cricketing action since mid-August due to tennis elbow, attended net practice with a lighter bat on Friday morning. He batted for 40 minutes at a stretch - the longest and most intense session that Tendulkar has done since he began a physical rehabilitation training programme for his injury three weeks ago.
