Sri Lanka-A all rounder Dhanuka Pathirana smashed 227 runs off 72 balls in a Twenty-20 match.
He was playing for the team Austerlands in Lancashire's Saddleworth League.
Incidentally, the 25-year-old had to play with a borrowed bat and his violent knock included 29 sixes and 18 fours.
His team finished at an astounding 366/3, overtaking Somerset's county record of 250.
Pathirana later described it as a fairytale, saying that he was seeing the ball like a football. Of course those whose vehicles he damaged in the car park might not be quite so amused.
Pathirana, however, is not a part of the Lankan squad for the Twenty-20 World Cup in South Africa.
